Estate-Vest (Pty) Ltd, registration 2024/088720/07, is the responsible party for the personal information collected through this website, as that term is used in the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

When you request a booking we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the dates and number of guests, and anything you write in the message box.

When you send an enquiry we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and your message.

When you pay, Payfast collects and processes your card or banking details. Those details never reach this website and we do not store them. We keep only the payment reference, the amount and whether it succeeded.

To answer your enquiry, to decide on and administer your booking, to take payment, to give you access to the property, and to keep the accounting and tax records the law requires us to keep.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing unless you have asked us to.

Our hosting and database providers, which store the site and its records; Payfast, which processes payments; our email provider, which delivers confirmations; and any co-host or cleaning contractor who needs your name and arrival date to prepare the property for you.

Where a booking originates on Airbnb or Booking.com, that platform holds its own record under its own privacy policy.

We may disclose information where the law requires it.

Booking and payment records are kept for at least five years, because South African tax and company law requires it.

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept while they are useful and then deleted.

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to keep. You may also object to how we use it.

Send any of those requests through the contact form and we will respond within a reasonable period.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. A signed-in staff member's browser holds one session cookie so the admin knows who they are; that cookie is removed when they sign out.
